Dennis Jones, 71, of Coalville passed away Friday, February 19, 2021 at Iowa Methodist in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 26, 2021 at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. A visitation will be one hour prior at the funeral home.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Barb; children, Tammie Morain of Duncombe; Brenda Barber of Coalville; Brian (Sheri) McLuckie; Amy Jones both of Duncombe; grandchildren, Nicole (Aaron) Lessmeier, Cody Graves (Jenny), Brittany Barber (Tony), Dalton McLuckie, Brandon (Morgan) Barber , Connor Morain (Alexis), Kennedie Jones, and Mackenzie (Vincent) Rotolo; great-grandchildren, Riley, Maci, Tristan, Jaxson, Abel, Winter, Averi, Easton, and Maddox; sisters, Linda Wharem of Duncombe and Joyce Murray of Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Patricia Jones and daughter, Dawn Marie.
Dennis Michael Jones was born October 2, 1949 in Duncombe. He graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School and then was inducted into the United States Army. After serving in Vietnam, Dennis was married to Barb (Bradley) McLuckie on November 25, 1972. They made their home in Coalville. Dennis worked for USG for over 30 years until his retirement in 2007. Loving the outdoors, Dennis could be found camping, gardening, or fishing often. He liked to work in his garage and always made time to visit friends. His greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
