Randy J. Sherman, 63, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Thursday June 28, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday July 3rd at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church. Burial will be Corpus Christi Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife Ruby of Fort Dodge; son, Anthony Sherman and his wife Dawn and their daughter Keely of Des Moines; daughter, Audra Sherman of Fort Dodge and her 7 children; son, Dave Nelson and his wife Bonnie of Ft. Myers, Fl; brothers, John (Penny) Sherman of Ankeny; Steve Sherman and his wife Jill of Fort Dodge; sister, Roxanne Neuharth and her husband Michael of Eden Prairie, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J. Gerald and Mildred (Broz) Sherman and a brother, Greg Sherman.

Randall James Sherman was born on January 23, 1949 in Fort Dodge. He attended schools here and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School. He then attended and graduated from Iowa Central Community College. Following his education Randy was involved with farm equipment sales and long haul trucking. In 2008, he started RuRan Inc, a trucking company he owned and operated with his wife Ruby. Randy enjoyed fishing, country music, collectibles, and celebrating life with his family and friends.
